To
obtain
building/electrical permit from the Pointe Coupee Parish Police
Jury, the applicant must provide the following:

| 1.
|
Official 911 address from the e911 addressing department.
Please contact Linda Daigle at (225) 694-3488.

| 2.
|
Sewer
application from the parish sanitation department. Please contact
Carl Whittington
or Ted Davis at (225) 638-3373 who is located in the Pointe Coupee
Parish Health Unit Building.

| 3.
|
For
mobile homes moved from outside the parish, the value of the home
is needed. For mobile homes moved from within the parish, a $25.00
relocation fee is required.
|
| 4.
|
For
construction of private residences, the total and living square
footage and the name and state registration number of the contractor
is needed.
|
| 5.
|
For
commercial and industrial buildings and multi-family (4-plex and
larger) constructions, applicant must contact the State Fire Marshall's
Office at (225) 925-4920, which is located at 5150 Florida Blvd. in
Baton Rouge, for approval of plans/drawings. You must provide us with a
copy of the letter of approval from their office. Also, we will
need to know the construction cost.

For construction of cellular towers only, applicant must obtain an
official 911 address from the e911 addressing department, must
provide our office with the construction cost of the tower and the
contractor's name and state registration number, and one (1) set of
drawings for the site.

Cost
of building/electrical permit is based on the cost of construction
or the cost of mobile home. Relocation fee for movable homes and
buildings within the parish is $25.00.

A sewer deposit equal to the permit or relocation fee may be
required. Upon a final satisfactory rating by the health officer,
deposit will be refunded, but not after 6 months.
|

|
A
slab deposit of $100.00 may be required if you are located in Flood
Zone A. Upon satisfactory rating of final inspection by the floodplain
administrator, deposit will be refunded. Also, if you are located
in Flood Zone A, you are required to elevate you air-conditioning
unit to the same elevation of your floor (must be 1 foot above
flood elevation).
